I'm suggesting this because one of my Private files in the uploader was leaked. How about an option that prevents files put in the 'private' folder from being downloaded by anyone other than approved members? As it is right now, uploader files can be downloaded by anybody, as the URL can be guessed and is downloadable by anybody. So much for 'private'. Not an immediate issue but it does make using other uploader sites like Mediafire more desirable. I agree but if you want to make it...ya' know, 'not in uploader but it's in your private files and you can link people to it' E.G with images, there should be a "Don't protect file (ID is guessable)".

This idea could be useful.
What if the user upload a image in private section and hook in the post? Will the image be shown publically as usual in the post?IMO whatever we did to protect privacy, eventually somebody will be irreverent and stole them. Internet chaos. _________________________

So people can make files only downloadable from their private files if they allow it and don't want the files to be taken straight from the uploader and instead give a URL to download the file from his/her uploader. |

I agree with this idea. Shame that people are that desperate to get to play a hack that they cheat the uploader.

If it got leaked, then just upload it to dropbox or something where only you can see it.

Here it has a download counter, and it doesnt run the risk of being deleted. But yeah, I found this issue long ago, where you could guess the number and download things at random
Arisotura fix sounds like the appropriate fix. But we would need to change or DL since they would become obsolete after the change (if its done?) _________________________ |
