- Tileset overlays for non jyotyu tilesets
- Tileset underlays in jyotyu tilesets (pipe, pipe joint, rails)
- The Koopa Troopa model is called nokonokoA(.szs) rather than nokonoko(.szs). This is possibly a leftover from NSMB2 which has nokonokoB(.bcmdl) in addition to nokonokoA(.bcmdl).
- \data\meta\meta.xml has an entry labelled "mastering_date" with the value "2012-09-25 23:51:19". (in which version???)
- Deep Cheep, Deep Cheep (Medium) and Deep Cheep Spawner are unused. Check used status in other games.
- References to E3 in text files
- cheep_fanfare still exists, unused [is it a sequence now?]
- Tileset objects type can be overwritten per block(s) in level - may show early block content
- There are levels 9-X and levels 11-X but no levels 10-X.
- The challenges are not in the same order as in-game.
- Attack of the Bob-ombs is in World 15 (Special Challenges), not World 13 (Coin Challenges).
- Challenges skip from 14-2 to 14-4.
- Non-default timer settings in levels that don't use timers?
- There is a super guide block in 15-1 (a challenge level)
- Tiling mistake in one of the wobbling rock challenges?
- Tiles hidden under tiles in 6-1?
- The zone in 16-6 (or whatever the ice one is) continues for far longer than needed.
- Meteor Moat has a third exit?
- Jungle has unused yoshi drums.
- 4-4 has a useless "if" flag controller?
- 9-4 has a hidden, inaccessible ? block containg a 1-up?
- Order of sprites, tiles, etc being inserted into level, showing interesting design insights.
