Maybe it's a known topic but I was very baffled to discover this today:

https://www.aliexpress.com/i/3256805944564973.html

https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256805769064723.html

Apparently someone takes hacks from this website (like Newer or mine) and puts them on a flashcard selling them on aliexpress afterwards.
And people are buying it.

It's bold beyond belief but I doubt anyone can do something against it as aliexpress most likely doesn't give a shit.
Your thoughts?

Reminds me of when flashcarts with Another Super Mario 3D were sold on Etsy (see ASM3D's K64 hack thread). Skawo said it's a waste of money: you can get the hack for free on the board. Here, same thing. Don't waste money on this bullshit! Publicly distributing ROMs is already illegal, but SELLING them??? Damn guys. This is beyond uploading prepatched hackroms on ROM sites, this is making money that should'be been Nintendo's! This is definitely dishonourable. I sincerely hope the Nintendo ninjas will check AliExpress...

EDIT: I got curious and googled "super mario star road cartridge". 59 goddamn dollars and 99 cents for a cartridge? Look guys - this is why we do not allow linking to ROMs.

Don't expect bootleg merch to not just be blatantly ripped from a screenshot or artwork. I'll check if more hacks are being sold. I mean, maybe there are hacks being sold for over 100 dollars/pounds/euros etc. Would anyone buy those?

Oh yeah, and Super Nintendo World, the theme park, has a cactus decoration that's from a NewerWii tileset! Read that once on Supper.

Nintendo probably can and will sue them, judging by the fact they shut down free fangames.
hopefully they won't shut us down after finding out.

Do it Nintendo ninjas. Do it.

They won't. Thierry nuked all commercial ROMs from the uploader a while ago. And MF64 once said he posted a ROM link after noobs kept begging for a prepatched ROM of one of his hacks. All Nintendo did, was letting him nuke the ROM link and nothing else. Also, currently, they're on the hunt for Switch piracy. RIP Ryujinx. But this does put us at increased risk indeed.

Oh yeah, and SMB64 for €89,90. Ridiculous, even for a Kaze hack. As  Arisotura would say, death to capitalism.

The question is: Does he makes money with that? How much?

Because if yes and many he's violating Nintendo's copyright and the time of the hackers.

When I see that I'm happy to remember the warning screen...

I'm more impressed they made box arts and printed out the cartridge labels.

terrible, vile, company.

didn't seem to remove the watermark either.

To be fairly honest, this sort of thing has become increasingly unavoidable in the past few years. It certainly sucks, and it certainly is taking advantage of a group of people who aren’t educated enough on what hacks actually are and just want to play them. I see countless repros every time I look for a game I want, like CBFD or Minus Cap, and it just kinda ticks me off because of how obvious it is.
Point is with this sort of company, they defiantly don’t care what’s being sold in their website, as is the case with many other online stores such as Amazon and Wish, Temu, Etc. At this point the best we can do is try and inform people on this, but there’s always gonna be a small portion of the population who’s gonna fall victim to this sort of scam.
