I'm brand new to this scene and I would like to make a poison mushroom for my mod. Is that possible at all?

 Sadly, it's not possible without ASM hacking, which is quite hard to do. (In my opinion poison mushrooms are annoying, you could use spikes or enemies instead) |

Yeah they piss me off too but itd been a nice touch. Thanks tho. Id rather not get into anything too hard yet.

Yeah. No problem
ASM hacking is hard. I don't know how to do poison mushrooms, I just know that in theory it should be possible if we investigate it. |

Yes, but poison mushrooms shouldn't be stompable.

I think your best bet would be to texture edit the mini-mushroom.
It would make sense, it make Mario small again, and a one hit kill for Mario. It is the closest you will get I think. The one thing though will be it is shifted 1/2 tile down from where the red mushroom would be. |

i cant believe no body thought that if a red mushroom makes you grow.
A poison mushroom makes you faint when you have the tiny mario (not mini mario) but the poison mushroom is absorbed like the red mushroom and not stomped like goombas koopas,shyguys and enemies. I think when you can do the mushroom you put him a angry face to people notice that theire not good.XD
