well, yeah. I mean, when I download it with Firefox:

* if I save the file: it's a zip, it's fine and all is good.
* if I open the file directly: Firefox opens it as a text file.

seems teh server is sending a wrong content-type like 'text'.

actually, with firefox (and derivates) recently for some reason several download links just.. give you the file as text, for whatever reason. you have to go out of your way to right click "save link as" every single time. it's annoying.

ed: that said, on my end the file saves properly without having to use that. did you try another browser to see if it makes a difference? I'm using pale moon, which's basically old firefox with security updates.

as I said, if you save the file, it comes out as a .zip and is fine.

it's just if you open it directly. Firefox will try to open it with Notepad, because the Content-type header is set wrong (or is not set at all, and Firefox assumes text).

you'll notice that, for example, K64's uploader doesn't have that problem at all.

ooh, that's different from what I expected. how does one set the default program anyhow? isn't it a matter of just reconfiguring the autocompiler?

well, yeah, some snooping reveals that the server is sending teh file with a text/plain content-type, which is causing Firefox to think it's a text file

considering the error is server-side, that makes one more issue to ping dirbaio for.
