If it's the NDS icon, try DSbuff

If it's the logo, try the NSMB Titlescreen editor

One of them is the real game's icon, the other is the icon that displays in the DS/DSi/whatever menu. Both are identical.

Though you will need to compress the second one before editing (both the image and pallet), and decompress them back after editing.


The reason there are two is the DS's limitation. Making it use two separate files with the same identical image can be easier than forcing the home menu to load a image type it cannot load.


I never got to make sure which is which. Best is to edit both.

Wow, that explained it pretty well...

I personally think that there should a list in a thread where all the sprites locations are named...

The one in the NitroFS (the second one) is either sent to the client DS in DLP VS Mode, or unused.
