Hey there. I'm working on classes for a Paper Mario themed forum game. Essentially it is roleplay and battles, the ratio of which depends on the host. I lean more toward roleplay, but I plan on doing a lot of battles this time. Each player chooses a class. Multiple people running the same class is allowed but not recommended. This is what a class looks like: Hammer Bro
Starting | Cost | Formula | Target
Bop | None | 2ATK | First Ground
Hammer Toss | 2 FP | 1ATK*5 | Any, Hammers have an accuracy rate of 80%/70%/60%/50%/40%
Tree #1 | Cost | Formula | Target
Chivalry | Passive | None | Deal 0.25 ATK extra damage per hit when you attack the same enemy consecutively, stacks
Ground Sweep | 4FP | 3ATK | All Ground
Heavy Hammer | 7FP | 6ATK | Any, lose next turn
Tree #2 | Cost | Formula | Target
Fireball | 3 FP | 3ATK | Any, Fire, 25% Burn
Boomerang | 2 FP | 2ATK*2 | Any
Ground Pound | 3 FP | 1ATK | All Ground, 25% Dizzy for 1 turn You start with skills listed under "starting". Skills listed under "tree 1" and "tree 2" are unlocked as the game goes on. The exact method of unlocking depends on the host. Anyway, this is just a thread to see if there is enough interest to host a game here. If you're interested, post and I'll set up the game thread later if there are enough people. ♪♫♩♬ |

I don't really like roleplay, but the fact that there will be battles, makes me interested

This.. seems rather complicated.
I'm not sure to get how the game would work, as well as who would decide points and everything, and how. |

This actually looks very similar to some of the RPGs in the Forum Games section of SMWC.

It certainly is, Arctus. I've got one going myself, and it's got quite a bit of steam behind it. It's not the only one, of course, but the class example is one used in said game. Of course, that obviously means I'm very interested. To answer some of Thierry's questions, the game's host would decide how points get distributed, and each player would post once per turn, or once per roleplay action if it came to that. And, about the complexity, I ran Final Fantasy Mystic Quest as a forum game five separate times, and there were very few issues from the player end. This is nothin' comparatively. |

If I join too then we have four interested people, that's enough for a game. I'll simplify the classes a bit more for a beginning game and set up the thread, probably in one or two days. (accidentally tried to just barely double post lol) ♪♫♩♬ |
