I'm in agreement with StapleButter and pinet.
IRC should remain as the official choice for users, while other, unofficial groups are allowed but not endorsed by the site. Many users here probably have never used channels outside here, Kuribo64, and RVLution - the mere 'typical group' that join sites running ABXD/Blargboard. |

I said in my post it was unofficial, of course the IRC will probably always be the official one, I created a discord group because (in my opinion) it is easier to use, better organized, and in general a better system, but I never claimed it was official.

I understand that - just wanted to state my opinion, I guess. (^^)
Discord is a very good platform, although I prefer the simplicity of IRC and Skype. Discord's layout feels cramped and confusing to me... |

I honestly prefer Discord because you don't need to install a program on your PC (You can use things like Mibbit, but if there's trouble, the whole Mibbit entrance is banned) I simply have my Web browser tab with Discord in it, so it's more easier to access it.
It takes some time getting used to the layout, but it's simpler than it looks, and you can even change the messages layout to resemble IRC chat. _________________________ |

Skype web sucks.
Discord is better in every way. Seems like Discord will eventually replace the IRC, which I don´t mind, because IMO it´s better. But the IRC still works and accomplishes the job nicely though

plus I don't like listening to people blab their mouths in Discord

Skype always been crapo. For some people, it also glitches a lot.
Also yeah, Discord is better at many things, because it was made to be better and compete with Skype (which, while it doesn't feature much, gives off a 'official' feel, which is the reason people use it in the first place). The only thing I didn't appreciate, was the general attitude of "Hey! It's better! You gotta switch to it RIGHT NOW!!!". I use whatever app I damn want. |

Wait, how does that even work? I'm kind of confused. You don't have to stay in a voice chat, do you? As a matter of fact I don't think you join one instantly. IIRC you have to join it manually, so that shouldn't be a problem. Unless I don't get what you're saying.

My main plus of discord is that I don't have to open every time hexchat or have an IRC client installed. I just open the browser tab on it and it logs me in. Not to mention I never figured how to join multiple servers at one time on the IRC. _________________________ |

(^^) I don't know why people like Windows XP so much, it has always been filled with security holes, and installing Flash and Java (which were essential back then) made it even more insecure. Besides, every time you install Windows XP, you will have to install a shitload of Tools and Apps, just to make it work at least a bit decently. _________________________ |
