Hi all,

Lately I've began work on 1-5 in my NSMB hack (this level is currently a WIP), where I'm planning to use line guides and four platform spinners that are on the line guides. However, I noticed something odd that has me scratching my head in confusion, which is shown in the screenshot below:

So yeah, how can I get rid of these two small tiles to the immediate right of the line guide end tile? I'm not exactly sure how this happened, but if anyone could provide a working solution, that would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

The image is not displaying, I doubt we'll be able to help until you fix the link.

That's odd...it's displaying perfectly for me when I look at it in this very topic...I uploaded the pic to Dropbox, and used the resulting link I got with the image tags.

Does uploading an image to Dropbox work well here or not? I'm curious.

The page leads to a 403 (which has to do with permissions) error for me, which probably means that it's private.

You should either make it public, or upload it to imgur. The latter is what I do, and it works pretty well.

Hmm, let me try this again. I uploaded the image to imgur, so you guys should be able to see it now (I hope).

Here it is:

My apologies for it not showing up from my Dropbox link, I didn't intend for the link to be private.

Let me guess - they do not show up in the editor, correct?

That's right. I think these two tiles are used in Mini Mario-related stuff, but I could be wrong.

So yeah, I still wish I knew how to make those small brown tiles not appear when I play that level, please.

Just remove them from the tileset by using the tileset editor at the map16 section.

Alright, thanks for the help Thierry...I did just that, and the brown tiles disappeared (I'm thinking I might have goofed at one point when I was making some custom tiles for my previous level).

So yeah, now I can continue this level.

No you didn't, I'm pretty sure it's there by default.

I just checked a YouTube video of 7-1 from the original NSMB, and I can confirm those brown tiles aren't there by default; I wouldn't be surprised if the person who uploaded this video doesn't know anything (or much) about the editor for the game. So yeah, it definitely baffled me as to why those brown tiles were only visible when playing the game...I couldn't even see them in the tileset editor, which baffled me most of all here.

AFAIK, one of those tiles is used for the bridge tile that is placed between the gold blocks and the stone blocks.

Nah, it's not at all the first time I see it. It's not in the tileset used for 7-1, but in another, the one you used.
