Hey guys,
I just figured out how to corrupt my profile pages and ALL post after a post I made. Please reference: here. Go to "Edit profile" to make these changes. THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUE AND NEEDS TO BE FIX IMMEDIATELY! Edit: s? loo?, Please remove your post!!! You just corrupted the rest of this page!

EL Mario I think that you can show that CSS code easily by enclosing it in a [.code] bracket.

This problem, my profile with a new cell, and LoLuigi's layout adding the question block and pipe's to Niko's post with code (as seen on this very thread) are all examples why this implementation is bad. |

It take a long time for the coders to figure out every possible way someone can screw up the site's CSS and HTML, and even longer to code a filter to find all of it. It's much easier for the administrators to just remove or fix your layout if it is causing problems.

This is not a problem. Everything that's potentially dangerous is blocked, like Javascript. Anything else can only fuck up pages or do similar silly things. The fact that you can do it doesn't mean you should do it.
If an user continuously abuses it, I can disable HTML for him everywhere. So, if you see something that's obviously not right to do, then don't do it. Use common sense. I'm sure nobody wants to loose their ability to have custom nice post layouts and be able to post in HTML. |
