Again you didn't read the posts above... I just don't get why.

Also, one of your sentence doesn't make sense. (or, wait, is it not just my shitty grammar again.)

And:
However they added a 3d Fence Koopa and the Giant goomba in world 4 is 3D too! Just saying.

Hey, we knows. We are not blind.

EDIT:
It looks all different.

Obviously, it's a beta screenhot.

Leave him alone Thierry, he is either a troll or he is really stupid, judging by his posts.
The best way to deal with fodders who think of themselves as big shots when really they're not is to either ignore them or humiliate them so badly they won't bother to troll anyone for a while / forever.

EDIT : And that shameless bump too…

He may have good intentions though, it is a bit rude to call a new user 'really stupid'.

Well he is omehow random. Some times decent, some time weird, some times mid-decent, mid-dumb, and sometimes really dumb.

But those last ones are apparently getting more rare.

I guess the game were all scrapped and made from scratch, and I guess they didn't have much time add 3D Koopas/Goombas so they just put sprites.

Not likely. Nintendo can't just make a demo, fully develop it and then begin from scratch at the last minute. It's just not physically possible.

Let me explain a few factors here:

The reason why Nintendo reduced the quality of NSMB's sprites is due to the DS' limitations. The unit runs on two processors: one that is the ARM9 and one that is the ARM7. The processors round to 4 MB of RAM and 256 kB of Serial Flash Memory, which make game experience VERY limited. Sure, in the beta NSMB everything looked better and had better graphics but did you think of what would've happened if they continued making sprites that good of quality?

If Nintendo was to continue developing the beta NSMB into the final product, chances are that the DS would have not ran the ROM. You see, the game had REALLY good graphics and high quality graphics equal more memory. Nintendo HAD to have already begun the final version before the beta version of NSMB was shown to public. Would you prefer quality over quantity, or quantity over quality? Those sprites must have lagged the DS if they had over four levels, considering the fact that the DS can't even render 3D objects that good.

I'm pretty sure Nintendo did make those nice looking 3D koopas and goombas but simply removed them after the production of the final version of NSMB and after they realized that they couldn't include it in-game.
<Silvreus>It has been 1 month, 4 days, 2 hours, 21 minutes and 3 seconds since I last remember being lazy.

BTW: Very early version of NSMB ran on early versions of the DS. These early DS consoles appeared to have slightly higher specs (or at least slightly higher graphics specs) than the final DS.
