Cause so many users asked this I decided to make tutorial here.

Information:

With this method you can edit all the textures of Mario and Luigi.
You also can edit their models. I will not show that here, but if you want to do it,
then note that you can only edit their head models!

You will need:
-The New Super Mario Bros. Editor (NSMBe)
-A New Super Mario Bros. ROM
-A copy of your ROM


Take NSMBe and open the first ROM.











Now you should open another ROM with NSMBe because of the edited .nsbtx file.
Go to the Filebrowser and open the same path as in the beginning of this tutorial.





Aaaaaaaaand it's done

Knew about this. Of course it was a good idea to make a tutorial for it.


Note: Step 5 is incomplete. Check by yourself. You should talk about reimporting the .nsbtx file.

I did this on new.nsmbhd.net to upload the picture files to the post and there was no possibility to dot that.
Even when I click edit on nsmbhd.net adding it is still not possible.

Step 6 is reimporting the file that has been edited at the place of a .nsbtx file (the binary file).
But you didn't talk about reimporting the .nsbtx file.


EDIT: Just understood something. You says it's needed to switch to another rom just because of a .nsbtx file replaced by a binary file? It's wrong. You can simply reimport the .nsbtx file.

We can't help you if you only say "something is wrong. what to do now?".

Allways provide detailed information on what you changed/edited/tried. Also what did you try to fix that error?

Two questions:

1.) Why not using the 'Save all' button?

2.) Does it matter if you don't import the model in an *.nsbtx file but in an *.nsbmd file? 'Cause that's how I always do it.

Basically I replaced all of Mario's textures with ones from NSMB Wii to make him look more high definition.
