Well, Garmichael is the one that host the contest, so he is in charge. He specifically said that each participant requires criticizing the levels.

Also, you want to talk about what's fair and not fair?

If no one does critiques, then no one gets a score, and the contest becomes pointless.

Doing critiques takes time - a lot of time. I know I write more critiques than other players (I get kind of nitpicky), but I personally spend about an hour (almost two hours for that contest with three zones with different tilesets) to do them.

What's not fair is that YOU post a level and get other people's input that takes them a long time to do and is needed to make the contest go, but you won't do the same thing for them. That's not fair.

If you don't want, don't do the critiques, but you'll get your points deducted.

For my critiques, I'm really sorry but I can't do them today. My Windows 7 has died completely, I'm trying to replace it with Windows XP but the installation is giving me problems

Well, I just want this round to end. The deadline for submissions was a week and a half ago.



Ray: (43/1) = 43
NsmB_Pro: (46/1) = 46
Dirbaio: (45+47/2) - 20 points for no critique = 26
ElMario: (37+40/2) - 20 points for no critique = 18.5


I tally the scores by adding up all the scores the other players give you, then dividing by the number of players that critiqued... An Average of all scores. The problem here is that Ray and NsmB_Pro only got one critique each, so their score is only what the other gave them. When more critiques are factored in, there's more room for one judge not being fair or whatever. And that's why I take points off for players that don't contribute critiques.

From now on, I will be presenting strict deadlines for both the end of the round, and the time it takes for critiques to be done. If you can't handle the fair deadlines (two weeks for making a level, and 3 days for doing critiques), then don't join.
