YES
IT IS POSSIBLE
WE DID IT
Now we're working on loop and making stereo. Oh, and injecting files bigger than the original.
Cause some of the AST files are >15MB. Just like BRSTM. But cooler.
Made with genius tool - ast Converter 2 from Kuribo. Rom repacked with GC-Tool, but I think I found alternative - GCRepacker 1.0.
Have fun! Anyone interested in helping us?

But yes, we managed to fix it, but we don't wanna release until tomorrow to be sure.
So tomorrow at 20:00, stay tuned for music hack better than in Super Smash Bros Brawl.

Okay, as my subscribers already know, our first hack distribution (called Mario Kart Double Dash Sound Mod) is already finished and it's downloadable from the interwebs. I won't post where, because that would be sharing links to illegal ISOs (there's no Riivolution or xDelta for GCN games). In meanwhile, I hope some people will get encouraged to hacking by the imple tutorial I made using tools found on Kuribo64.

Easier than making BRSTM. Also until 10th October I'll be uploading videos from our hack, three of them are already online.
But I'm especially proud of this one.

People not knowing what is xdelta... It's just a format storing differences between two binary files, and it doesn't care about the format. It can be GameCube ISO, 3DS ROM, IPS patch (yay, recursive patching), .bmp file, plain text file, or anything else. So there is xdelta for GCN games, because xdelta doesn't need to support GCN games (or DS games, in fact).

Nice. I wonder if the textures can be hacked and changed.

Now all we need is custom tracks ;-;

O_o
I never knew it's possible, well duh, spent too much time reading GBATemp.

Texture hacking is probably easy as well and so is model hacking (It's BMD), but custom tracks are kinda impossible without tools written only for MKDD, especially BCO generator... If anyone contributed, I'd be really grateful.

If anybody actually cares about customt racks and how shit is placed, the directory is this:

root\Course\TrackName.arc\lol_course.boc

Bad thing is

There is no sign of any type of object names or anything inside of the file.

But uhhh
There isn't anywhere else it can be.

So, hardcoded, maybe? If so, we've got some tough shit here.

EDIT: Shit. Driving this offtopic.

I've looked at all the videos, and I say it's pretty cool on how this actually got attention. But uh all it is is just replacing files
But nice, though

No. So far, it's just an emulator.
