This is a game for up to four people.

How to Play

- You (or your team) get one kind of "piece":
--- Player 1 gets
--- Player 2 gets
--- Player 3 gets
--- Player 4 gets

- Player 1's piece is placed automatically at the start of the game, like so:

- Player 2 may choose to either start a new row directly above or below the already existing pieces, or place his piece at the end of an already existing row.

- Player's take turns in numerical order (1 -> 2 -> 3 -> 4).

- The game ends when one player has a certain number of pieces in a row, whether vertically, horizontally, or diagonally.
--- The number of pieces in a row required to win can be changed before each game.
--- 4 is recommended for 2-player games. 3 is recommended for 3+ player games.

Rules for Posting

- Be courteous to other players. If you are being rude, I will kick you out of the game.
- Disable your post layout (if you have one). This will make it easier to determine what's what.
- I will have the final say so over any disputes in this thread.
- It's recommended that you determine what move you're going to make before you make you hit "post reply", as you can't see pictures in the post box.

...anyway, I would like to play a game. Anyone interested?

I've added them as smilies:

Also I propose that we start, and then whoever wants joins the game.

So I start (it's 3-in-a-row):

mrx, you can't skip people's turns like that. It's Dirbaio's turn again.

So uh... I was kind of hoping we would determine the players before we started the game, but then dirbaio did things and yeah.

Turn order is: Dirbaio -> TRS -> MiguelMML -> mrx

Sorry GlitchMr, it's too late to play.

To make things faster, I propose a rule:

You're not allowed to "let someone win". If you can make a move to avoid the next player to win, you must make it.

If no matter what you do, then next player wins, then it doesn't apply: you can choose which line to block, or you can choose to block none play somewhere else because blocking isn't worth it since the other player has won anyway.

This is useful to make the game faster: if someone is obligated to do that move, then you don't have to wait for him to do it, you do it for him.

For example, in this case, can only do one move, or I will win. So I play for him.

Players:
 Dirbaio <-
 TRS
 SaturnYoshi
 MiguelMML

And then it's my turn as usual:

Players:
 Dirbaio
 TRS <-
 SaturnYoshi
 MiguelMML

I agree with that rule, but only when there are only two players. With 3+ players, I can try to set something up while hoping the other opponent(s) blocks you. If they don't notice, then I took a chance and failed.

For example, this:

Players:
 Dirbaio
 TRS
 SaturnYoshi <-
 MiguelMML

I don't understand what you mean. For 3+ people it works the exact same way as for 2.
You're only obliged to block a 2-line of the player that plays *right after* you.

Agreed, I think this is a good idea too.
