He's not on nsmbhd.net
We'll share the tool with the community, when our hack is finished. |

You'll see it in the hack.
But I can ask him(He's our overworld designer) if he can make screenshots. |

I know!
But the people in the Credits of the demo aren't all of us! Just the people who made the demo! |

Stunt_LP: be careful what you promise, you probably won't be able to deliver it. The overworld isn't easy to edit, there's a lot of hardcoded tables in the binary and other bad stuff. It's so hardcoded that the Newer team decided it was easier to code their own overworld from scratch, and that's what they did.
You probably understand why we don't believe that there's a mysterious "designer" that we never heard of, and never even bothered to register, has appeared out of nowhere and "programmed a 3D overworld editor." I hope we're wrong and the "overworld editor" is real and we can now go and edit our overworlds. Prove us wrong: get the editor released and show us you were right. But until you do, please shut the fuck up and stop saying you have something you don't have. Enough of this bullshit, people. |

I´ve downloaded your hack. The level "templates" are looking really good! I only wonder about the forest level in the desert No forest can grow in a desert. Even with a custom overworld But otherwise the levels are going to be really cool.

Posted by Arceus I only wonder about the forest level in the desert No forest can grow in a desert. Even with a custom overworld This is Mario, logic doesnt apply to it Also its refreshing to see something so contrasting. _________________________ |

Thanks. The levels aren't really logical, because we'll wake a forest pasrt in the desert.
I know. It's unlogical. But it will be so xD |

Well well well.
I'm playing this thing. It's okay. JUST okay. Not very good. And certainly not "the best NSMB hack ever". You have many details and bugs to fix. When applying the patch: - The resulting ROM crashes. It's because you've edited Overlay 0 (it contains the Tilest 0 behaviors). Opening, saving and closing Tileset 0 fixes it because it marks the overlay as decompressed. It's a bug/limitation in the NMP format I will fix someday. If you use XDelta patches it'll work directly. From playing 1-1: - Why are there two flagpoles in the first jump? - The first jump (the gap in the flagpoles) is WAY TOO LONG. Why? - Please check your camera settings, it centers Mario way too much on the lower part of the screen, you can't see what's under you... - Red coins that I can't grab? what. - At the end, blue donut lifts that aren't solid?! WHY. - Lots of the areas in the level feel empty... Maybe put more enemies or stuff? I haven't played more levels, I had enough with the 1st one... So check for similar issues when you update with fixes. I won't approve this hack until you update and I can play it without having this "RAAH, WHY?!" feeling. |

It's just the demo. It'll be fixed in the finished hack.
And the bug with the tile behaviors of the red coins and the blue donout lift: we'll fix it and update the link. |
