I got two problems about level hacking.
I'm working at level 1-A and i decided that I only use area 1 for whole level, so i changed background (both layers), tileset, then i remade level and everything seem to be ok but when I want to play level there are 2 problems:
1st: Whole level is "underwater" instead of being normal one.
2nd: Tilesets are glitchy. I mean in editor everything looks ok but when i try to play level some of them are glitchy and looks like they were mixed.

For background I've used background 57 (Underwater cave) and for tileset 36 (Underground Dark Blue).

PS: Maybe I'll post demo of my hack next week

1. The level is underwater based on the bottom background. Since you are using an underwater BG, the level will be underwater. You can copy the background to a different slot to remove the underwater property.

2. No clue, you might have to give us a patch to look at to figure this one out.

1. Don't use underwater bottom BG.
2. I'm not sure but I think that's caused by the underwater BG too...?

I uploaded patch with this level (1-A). You can check what is wrong with that. Ignore problems with graphic in lower screen (just tried to edit something and didn't work as well)

Man, I have no clue what's going on there. I tried moving the tileset to a different slot, changing the BGs, but nothing would fix it. I dunno what to tell you to do here

The only problem I'm seeing with the level now is that the midway entrance is in area 2 instead of area 1 like you want it. You can fix this easily by opening area 2 and changing its midway entrance to 0.

Good level design, by the way.

The second problem may be tile randomization. Most tilesets have this effect, that some of the first 10 tiles in the list are randomized. (like the underground wall)

Ok so i try to edit other tileset. Maybe that will work. Anyway i got other questions.
1. Since I editer boss area in castle 1 after battle when you press button bridge won't be destroyed. How I can fix that (you can check this glitch in my patch too)
2. Is there way to make rising / lowering Lava (like water). I read some threads there but can't find clear answer.

PS: How about music? Is it good (I mean the one I use in my hack). Most of them are edited.
