I suggest you check the NSMBC Discord server, a lot of coders are active there.

Additional powerups are possible but every project that adds them does them in a different way so there no standard for how they are set up. If you want help coding them yourself then join the nsmbc discord server

Well, there is one other option you have that could be beneficial if you want the propeller suit. There is currently a mod being made for nsmbds by me and a few others that will serve as a base for hacks to be made off of. Some major things it includes are:
-Propeller Suit
-Three up Moons
-Mega and triple blocks
-Physical checkpoints
-Support for multicheckpoint levels with physical checkpoints
-Makes all duplicate tilesets and backgrounds have their own file
-Shyguys (Blue, Red, Yellow, Green, Purple and Black)
-Ninjis
-Ice snake blocks
-Ring controller (Allows parakoopas, coins, boos, lavabubbles and amps to move in rings)
-Liquid wave controller (Can be used to make water, lava and poison waves)

There is a lot more that I havent mentioned. The released project should be posted here as an xdelta soon and the code will be uploaded to a github repo when its polished and annotated properly. For now though you can try builds of it as I post them every few days on the nsmbc discord server. I plan on dropping a build that includes the propeller suit later today

But If the question is can i patch the xdelta on my already heavely modified rom (*heavely modified grafics , levels and textures) it's just that i dont want to export every thing and re-inport into the patch since that would take days (797 files modified ) and i fear that i would break everything .

You don't really have any other choice, the patch will only be compatible with a unmodified vanilla USA ROM and you'll need to migrate all your modified assets to there

If you wanna make the procedure faster, you can always export the folders in the ROM File Browser that contain the modified graphics and replace the folders in your new ROM, that way, all the modified files from said folders will be replaced in one go

So I have to export the entire root folder and re-import it? But if a file in the is aded in one folder and you inport the old one will it delete the file ??

No, you just export the folder, replace the exact same folder in your new ROM with the one you just exported, and it'll change only the modified files, it won't delete or corrupt any files (unless you messed up something but that's very unlikely)
