I made some custom levels with the NSMB editor... I made some Mario VS Luigi stages.

I have the NSMB games dumped on my 3ds, and i can easily forward NDS files to my 3ds...

So, i made some neat stages that i am fairly happy about... I saved the changes and tried forwarding the new levels to my 3ds's. They did not change. I then dumped a new clean nds file to my SD card, and use a patcher. I tried patching my standard NDS file with the one that i had my edited levels on, this did not work either.

How can i play my custom levels?

I don't know much about that, but on nsmbe, try exporting the levels you made, and importing them over the MvsL levels you want replaced on a clean nsmbds rom, then try taking the modified clean rom, and moving it over to your 3ds?

This is late but for other people with the same problem:
You need to use the Multiplayer NARC patch. It's located in the Tools/Options menu on the left. I would use the search tool next time because this problem happens pretty often for people.

use a emulator instead, cuz sometimes patching hacks into the 3ds, it may remove the hack entirely and it goes back to the og game

theres alot of emulators out there but i use melonds

First of all, Melonds is a DS emulator and citra is the 3ds one, and secondly please don’t bump threads

Running ds roms on a 3ds requires TwilightMenu++

This is from like 2022 lol that person probably hasn’t been active in 6 months, but it’s nice of you to have offered help. Just don’t bump threads or you could get in trouble

if you want to ACTULLY play roms on a 3ds, then use a R4 card or any flash card
also if theres a error saying something like "software expired!" or anything like that in a red text, then that means you have a timebomb, you can set ur time to BEFORE the day it expired (like in 2012, 2006,)
