hey friends. Not a developer nor have I made a NSMB rom hack before but I managed to get the NSMB editor running on my M1 Mac using crossover, but every time I try to open a .nds file or rom, it says "Object not set to an instance of an object" and "Could not parse 'spritedata.xml' {0} {1}".
It sucks because I'm so close to it running perfectly on a 64bit ARM-based Mac but it doesn't seem to be able to access the spritedata.xml file. If anyone has any idea on how to help or fix I'd greatly appreciate it. --Edit-- Pic of open screen running: https://imgur.com/a/MegJnfS Pic of parsing error: https://imgur.com/a/4IqaOUs Pic of object error: https://imgur.com/a/CGbAvht |

I doubt anybody here has an M1 mac to help you out here.
You can try checking if the application actually has permission to read the spritedata file, but I'm not sure how much success you will have with that. Best option will probably be running a Windows VM though I'm not sure how well NSMBe will run on ARM Windows. _________________________ GitHub - Kuribo64 - YouTube |
