Okay so I did not know where to
put this so it is in this area of the fourm. I downl,oaded the firmware.nds. i put it on my r4i gold v1.4.1. when i press a it goes to the loading screen. it freezes there. can anybody help me? |

I've seen it freeze like that on some cards. It doesn't work.
The alternative is to use another launcher. Can you try out something like Wood R4, YSMenu, Homebrew Menu, or another ROM loader? Does it freeze then? |

Yeah.
Though, to me it's pretty clear what's he talking about. He's talking about THE firmware.nds file found here. He's trying to just boot it but it doesnt work. I know it because a friend of mine had an r4i gold too and it didn't boot. The fix is, yeah, use another loader. Though I dunno if there are some for the r4i gold. Yea well I first have to say r4i golds are clones, with modifications to work with other DSes of the original R4.
Well I'm pretty sure YSMenu would work. I've set it up when I had an n5, and it doesn't take too much effort to put your own DSTT OS files and set it up. YSMenu works well with all the homebrew and commercial ROMS. |
