In denial that someday the NSMB betas would be found since 2014

Hi again. I know this sounds ambitious but I want to try to make custom animations for the player model. I decompressed the LZ player files into NSMDS and NSBCAs and was wondering how to edit and replace existing animations for the players and how to make new ones. At the moment what exactly I'm trying to do is I'm trying to re-create the beta Mega Mario walk animation.

I've tried exporting the animations into Collada .dae files but I have a couple issues with that. Firstly I can't view multiple animations as I use Blender to edit models and it only supports one animation from Collada files. I tried this program which is supposed to split each animation into a separate .dae https://www.vg-resource.com/thread-30547-post-634261.html#pid634261 but I can't get it to work. Secondly, upon importing the Collada into Blender I had trouble making new keyframes for the model because whenever I tried to make a new keyframe it didn't work and was overwritten with the original one. (This problem isn't necessarily an NSMB hacking question but more of a Blender question). Finally, I don't even know if there's a way to export a .dae into .NSMDS and .NSBCA file anyway.

So with all the problems I was having with the .dae files I was wondering if there was a way to just edit the animation from the source .NSBCA, and if not, if there's any way to help me with the issues with the .dae files mentioned above. (Also how can I re-compress the player files into LZ.bin)
