it's too late at this point, even if it were a good idea.

the problem with having a discord is that it would sap all the activity off the board. that, and discords aren't good for keeping track of information. not as much as the board is.

in the past, many newbies tried to start up NSMBHD discords, advertized on the board. all of said advertizement was shot down by the staff for the aforementionned reasons.

if there were to be a discord, it would've been made by admins to begin with.

Discord by nature is geared towards mass-messaging. there's no quality standard for messages, a good example of it is the endless stream of throwaway messages from bots.
overall, it's not a great fit for what the board tries to achieve.
