So I have decided to work on a project that I would not like to say what it is at the moment, but basically when I export SM64DS levels I get the BMD format of the map, my question is how do I convert the BMD file to a OBJ file for what I'm trying to do.

Open SM64DSe, open your ROM and then load your level. From the top toolbar, click "3D model", then click "Export level model" which is at the left side. You can export the model as .dae or .obj

Thanks but now I have another problem, when I load the stage in blender the stage is a garbled mess, any way to fix this?

Are the textures upside down?

If so, that's because SM64DSe turns the textures upside down, but if you import the model back into the game, it'll look fine, and if you import a model with normal textures, the textures will look upside-down. This can be fixed by checking "Vertically filp all textures" in the left side.

If this isn't your problem, describe your actual problem here.

I'll try when I get home and I'll post a picture of what it looks like if it's not fixed.

Thanks very much now the work can begin.
