I have a level that I want the midway entrance to be at area 1, but it appears as the midway area number in the second area when I die after getting the checkpoint, so is there is a way to change which area Mario will appear at the midway entrance?

You could increase the entrance Number to 50 That worked for me when I had such problems

Probably because of the area overflow?

I don't know why the midway entrance can be set in all 3 areas. This may be an editor bug...I don't know. But I always make my midway entrances the highest entrance number. That way there is no conflict with similar entrance numbers in each area of the level.

Thats also a nice thing. I never came to that idea.
EDIT: But heres the Problem:
Entrances are intependent, if they are in different areas. The same with paths, zones and views.
So it probably wont do anything.

Thats wrong. If you use progress path ID 1 in the first area, and use then a ID 0 in the second area, the path wont work correctly. You have to increase the number for each area/view Look in the original levels and you'll see
