So using object 44 bricks turns them into coins when you hit a P-switch. Their behavior in the Jyotyu is 00 00 10 00. But, if you set a tile to this, when a p-switch is hit, it will not turn into coins. Is there a way to make them turn into coins when the P-switch activates?

I don't think so.
The tile numbers are probably hard-coded. |
