When I was looking at some NSMBWii Models, I accidental noticed Nintendo used the
 NSMBDS Mountain Tileset  NSMBWii Underwater Background  EDIT: It actually looks more similar to the unused Volcano tileset. NSMBDS Unused Volcano Tileset

I noticed that a while back. Didn't surprise me much, since NSMBWii is based on the DS version.
It's got many leftovers, but the main part of them are unused. |

It's funny that Nintendo always uses an older Mario game as base to build a new one. NSMBDS was built from SM64DS, NSMBWii and NSMB2 were built from NSMBDS and NSMBU was built from NSMBWii. |
