Hey guys,

I was thinking that we should have another feature that can do find/replace for objects, just like we do for sprites.

This can be useful when we import a different tileset, and the object corner in one tileset is different in another, and we just want to do a simple replace so we don't have to manually change the object.

So should I just put this on a separate tab of the sprite finder?

Maybe you could have the find/replace be both for objects. What you can do is just change a drop down list when you do find/replace to switch between objects/sprites.

But objects have a tileset and object number, so I can't just reuse the same form.

Oh yea, good point

Well, you can have a drop-down menu that lets you choose find/replace for objects or sprites when you click the binoculars. This way, you can have separate forms for different things.

I agree. But if you replace tilesheets. Then it might be useless. I think it would work better for finding sprites.

I don't understand. The whole point of the object find/replace is when you replace tilesheets!

Read this again, LoLuigi:

I was talking about the find feature. I would be useless for tilesets if you replace them. Then, you might have to add the names manually.

So? It's easier than going to each object you want to be the corner, changing it to the right object, click the next one, do the same...

With find/replace, it makes this easier.

Implemented in r266. The new version has the original find next feature, but has replaced the delete all and replace with a simple select all. Just click the select all button and change the type in the side panel and all are replaced.
