I have edited my Jyotyu tileset. I changed my rom version from (E) to (U). 2 interesting changes happened. First off, my Jyotyu tile behaviors for my edited powerups did not carry over to the (U) version. I had to reset them. Second, and more obvious, my edited background palette used for bricks, etc. did not carry over. So I have everything set to use the grey blocks. But when I switched to the (U) rom, they were not changed.

This is a known problem. It only works, when you make a patch for the same ROM version ;D When you import a E patch into a U ROM, the jyotyu things are all reseted. I really dont know why

Yep. Both of these things are stored in Overlay 0.
The problem is that overlay files can't be swapped across ROM regions. Overlays contain program code that is compiled specifically for each region, they are loaded at different offsets and they even have different sizes. If you swap them, it will not work in any way. So this probably can't be fixed You'll have to re-edit it manually. EDIT: I think that if you export jyotyu to a .nmt file and import it back, it *will* copy the behaviors too, so try that. |
