It's not possible. You can use the Area Overflow Bug to use more areas for one level but creating completely new areas isn't possible.

And there are other area overflow tricks you can do.
I can't think of them at the moment but there is at least one other. |

Ok now a new question: how to I path control the camera and make it come back?

-If you want to make it move by itself over a path, use the auto-scroll sprite.
-If you want it to move a little when Mario is in an area, and move back when mario goes out of that area, use one of the other camera controlling sprites or tileset objects |
