You know that thing in that you put in the bottom of your DS Lite to keep the dust out of the GBA slot? Have a look inside it. There is a circuit board in there. Or at least, the little gold bits that connect to the DS.

A. You can see the main circuit that is inside the DS.
B. You are looking at the connecters and/or circuit that read/write to the gba card. (That was a non-technical explaination). |

Maybe it is designed to be like a gba cartridge. There must be sites about disasssembling game consoles, maybe you should ask there.
