The editor can be very useful to other games than nsmb, and I'm editing need for speed undercover, which has a zip named ''vfs'' and vfs got all the textures and all the shit.
What I'm asking for is to add support for .zip files, can you please do that?

also, does anyone know about a good scripting tool for luac files?

I don´t want to critice this idea but since this is an NSMB editor it wouldn´t make any sense supporting files for other games. And NSMB doesn´t use any .zip files.

You're right, but there would be nice with a zip support anyway. I know people are using nsmbe for other games too, and I don't know another way to edit nfs undercover.

Is this a DS game? And do these 'zip' files end in '.zip' and can they be opened in 7-zip (or whatever your archiving program of choice is)?

yeah, it is also a DS game, I'm a huge fan of need for speed.

Yeah, I can open it in winrar, but the game crashes when I export it > edit > then replace it again. I know it isn't the replacing that makes the game crash, but at least some .zip support would make it easier to find out what it is.

Doesn't actually do anything.

So uh, is there an NSMB-related reason you want this feature, or are you just asking for it because this is the closest thing to it?

no, there's no nsmb related reason. The only reason is because it works good on other games.

Adding support for zip files won't hurt, I guess it's pretty easy too. So what's the problem?

Also, if you really wants this to be implemented, then we should make a whole new editor, since it isn't NSMB Hacking anymore.

And the zip files from a computer are maybe differents than the one from the DS game you wants to edit.

The problem is that there's no reason to add something to an NSMB editor that isn't related to NSMB hacking. Whether it's easy or not doesn't really matter.

yeah, that might work. Thanks I'll try when I come home.
edit: yeah, shit, that doesn't work either. Maybe I should try to make a hacking tool for it.
