I made a post about this problem before, but it got long and I never ended up getting my problem solved.
What I am trying to do, is edit the texture for the Green Koopa Troopa. Here is what I did:
- LZ compressed I_nokonoko256_ncl.bin
- Opened I_nokonoko_ncl.bin and I_nokonoko_ncg.bin together in Palette viewer
- Chose option "Import this bitmap and re-create palette"
- Saved changes
- LZ De-compressed I_nokonoko256_ncl.bin

And all I get, is a green mess:

Someone please tell me what I have done wrong?!

I think that the Koopa may have just vomited all over itself.

I_nokonoko256_ncg.bin has 4 Different palettes. So if you import them with the "Import this bitmap and re-create palette" option all the palette files will overwritten and desynced.

I recommend you to edit them manually without importing anything.

You can hold down shift and select a colour in the palette. Then you can edit the koopas colour manually.
That´s the easiest way I think.

Dark enough? Or should I make it darker?

I think it could be a little bit darker, but overall it looks fine.

I did this (btw, its Ctrl, not Shift) and I made all the green in the palette darker, but guess what! The Koopa Troopa stayed exactly the same!
WHYYYYY?

Click the purple floppy disk icon on the top before editing... (Save All)

If already done then I guess you forgot to save the palette....?
