An old rev of NSMBe had a way you could enter time limits that were almost infinite. Can this be re enabled? Sometimes 999 isn't enough for levels.
I have that old rev, but my computer is missing a dll file, can't remember which one. |

Is there a way to make time truly infinite?

Yes you can, with ASM Hacking.
I do not think that you can set a value in the file that just set's it to 'infinite' Maybe try fiddleing in the hex editor at Block 1. Otherwise: An infinite time hack should be quite easy, if any of you can tell me where the time (in RAM) is stored I could do it for you. To find it I just need someone to keep on playing with the RAM search in desmume till you have the offset of the current time. |

When I worked with NSMBe2.2, I think I could set the time limit up to the 60000s, but I am not sure anymore.
Ingame, the time stays on 999 of course, until the 60000 s passed. But be WARNED: the nsmb editor 2.2 might crash your game, since it is sometimes really buggy. EDIT: soooo.... I just tested it and it only has a time limit of 2000. Sorry. |

Yes it is 2.2. This allowed more time. I would try and use 2.2 but I get a missing dll error. This would be nice to add into the current editor features. Any significant amount above 999 would be cool.

Okay. Will change it to rise the maximum.
If you want truly infinite time, I once found an Action Replay code called "Freeze Time" that did just that. AR cheats are usually easy to convert to ASM hacks and patch them into the ROM. But, speaking in terms of level design, if your level requires THAT MUCH time, it's probably waaay too long. Be careful so that it doesn't get boring |

Be careful so that it doesn't get boring I think the rise to maximum would be fine. Truly infinite is not necessary. My hack is less side scroller, and more adventure. My levels are longer, but I strayed from the NSMB theme more than other hacks. |

Wait, what about bonus mushroom houses? Are they hardcoded with infinite time?
