nds4ios is extremely slow.
I used it to try out Yoshi's Island DS, the first level took 5 minutes (this was the European Kiosk Demo Version).

Maybe, test it on one of the hacks here! I might do so now.

No, it is illegal when I think about it!

So, what is the point of this? To talk about nds4ios? Anyway, it runs at full speed only on iPad air and iPhone 5S. And it also isn't made for iOS 7. It's a terrible app I think GBA4iOS 2.0 is much better I think.

...except it emulates GBA instead of NDS?? Of course emulating a NDS requires more power than a GBA.

I didn't know about nds4ios before

I just tried it out in my iPad4, it is a bit slow, yep, but since it's a DeSmuME port, I don't find that surprising at all. DeSmuME is pretty slow, its devs seem to value accuracy more than speed. nds4droid is slow too.

Shame iOS doesn't allow emulators on the store, nor installing apps from places other than the store. Installing this thing was... challenging, with the date change trick.

I maybe should jailbreak.

There is an DS Emulator for Android called DraStic. It runs really fast on every NDS games.

Please do. It's pretty cool when you jailbreak because of the awesome tweaks and themes you get to install that Apple doesn't allow you to do.

BTW, that emulator for iOS is too slow on an iPhone 4. It lags like hell and constantly freezes. Mobile phones don't have that much power to power an emulator and a DS ROM.
<Silvreus>It has been 1 month, 4 days, 2 hours, 21 minutes and 3 seconds since I last remember being lazy.

GBA4iOS 2.0 is awesome, yeah!
I tested the cheat function, there's a video on my channel of it.
Full speed!

And iOS 7 sucks. Have to use YouTube Capture to upload-

Oh shut up you tart
All right.

Nds4ios is worse than DeSmuME (v 0.4.2 on a 64MB RAM PC), in terms of speed. The (mkds) beta only runs 10 fps... On the TITLE SCREEN!

NSMB is still bad on it as well. Oh, what's iPad Air?

I meant for preformance, sorry. Should have made that clear. I would jailbreak if I were you. I am going to jailbreak my iPad 4 when ios8 comes out (i have 7.1, which you can't jailbreak.). By the way, there HAS been some emulators on the app store, just not the way you think you would find them. The iPad Air is the iPad 5

Edit: the testing version is WAY better! Its faster, and has an ios7 interface!

I don't want to jailbreak - knowing me, the iPad would crash completely. Everything else did, even when I was at my best spell in May 2012 (MKDSCM and old_mario_gc.carc finally getting its textures by me).

And besides, I only want to get RetroArch, but it won't install (when I switch back the date, it won't install).
The only thing I want is to downgrade to iOS 5 or 6, as they had a much better interface. And you can record screen without JB.
Actually... GBA4iOS 2.0. is very awesome. Also, what is JIT or whatever it isthat makes an emulator faster? Oh, and also I can't download the testing build.

Edit: I use 7.1 as well, meaning everything sucks worse than on normal iOS 7.

Sorry, I was talking to Dirbio. Only jailbreak if you don't want to do the date switch thing (or if you want tweaks and stuff.)

Sorry for double post, I am trying to keep the thread alive.

I now have nds4ios Test Build. Latest version as well. Hoping a game runs nicely on my iPad Mini.
