Hey guys,

I was wrapping up Area 3 of my competition level and entering Area 2 when I got this exception:



I wounder why...

EDIT: The exception prevents me from entering Area 2. I guess I can't submit my level to the competition.

EDIT2: The entire Area in DeSmuME is glitched. All the textures are weird, tiles are swapped, and objects/sprites act funny.

Dont worry, thats a bug, I had some time ago too. I think it is just a corruption of the Sky Tileset.

I fixed it, through doing this:



Open a original ROM.

Export the files:
-"FILESYDTEM/root/BG_ncg/d_2d_I_M_tikei_kumo_ncg.bin"
-"FILESYDTEM/root/BG_ncl/d_2d_I_M_tikei_kumo_ncl.bin"
-"FILESYDTEM/root/BG_pnl/d_2d_PA_I_M_kumo.bin"
-"FILESYDTEM/root/BG_unt/I_M_kumo.bin"
-"FILESYDTEM/root/BG_unt/I_M_kumo_hd.bin"

Import those files into your ROM with the corrupted Level again.

Now your Level should work again, but you will have to reinsert your custom Tileset again.
If it does not work, thats truely a reason to cry.

Is it? I had a problem with my sky tilesets. #4 and #59. What I found is that the two share palettes. So I believe one of the two shares its palette 2 data with the other tilesets palette 1. What I ended up having to do is import my custom sky 59 into another tileset. This fixed the corruption. Or...let me be more specific...the tilesets somehow share object data as well. So when I tried to use a 2 palette tileset in both, the objects would be corrupted in the other.

Fixing my #59 tileset would wipe out #4 object data and give the above error. Piranha showed me how to ignore the error, but it took me a while to figure out that my #4 tileset object data was gone.

Nope, they do NOT share anything. I have custom Tilesets in both slots, and they both work perfecly for me.

Are they both 2 palette?

If this is this case, maybe either there is an issue because have edited every tileset now, or somehow my rom is corrupted and importing clean tilesets into both sky tilesets did not repair the issue and the required files are needed.

If we can resolve this in this post, Dirbaio or Piranha, can we implement 2 palette tilesets into the standard tileset editor?

Also implementing the auto ncg/ncl coupling to the editor for all file editing would be 2 huge steps forward.

EDIT: Ok, you are completely right.
They ARE 2 palette Tilesets, but I cant open them both at the same time. The editor says: "This Tileset is already being edited".
Even if it is not. -----> They share Data.

It doesn't work. And I inserted the Frosty TS into the first Unused Bonus Room Tileset listed in the list of tilesets. Area 1 of my level, which uses the Frosty TS, didn't change at all.

I will try to insert it into the ROM again, so it wont have any bugs.
