Okay, so why the editor can't open files in the 'player'-folder?
I know you can export the files and import them into a NSBMD-file, but again... why?
It'll be easier if you don't have to do that, but just click and open.

I could but it's too hard.
Also there are ways to import your own models. See this: http://nsmbhd.net/?page=thread&id=431

So coding it in the editor would be quite pointless.

Arceus, please be careful when quoting. And please link to the post, it's this one: http://nsmbhd.net/post/17417/

That thread was about model *editing*. I have no plans to make a NSBMD *model* editor.

KingYoshi is asking why files in the player folder can't be double-clicked even if NSMBe supports editing them.

The reason for this is that NSMBe uses the filenames to find out the file type, and these files have nothing about NSBMD or NSBTX.

I'll try to make this better in NSMBe Java: finding out the file type by looking at the file itself. That should work better

I'll try to make it able to detect compression. It should be easily doable. So yes.

Same thing about the graphic files: some are compressed, some aren't and NSMBe can't distinguish them from the name. That's why you have to compress some files in uiStudio before editing them. I hope to fix that too
