I have worked for some time on this Stone Grassland Tileset. I don't really like it, so I will post it here.
It is not completely finished, so draw the tiles you are still missing yourself.

It does look cool
 It would fit for a mountain level theme IMO. Nice. |

Added a new Conifer-BG free to use. It fits good to the tileset I think. (I did not just recolor the winter BG, I painted these from scratch. Just used the shape of the winter trees)
I LOVE THOSE!

Yup it looks quite nice.
One problem is that all pine trees are at the same height. If you out some higher than others, it would look way less repetitive. |

Cool. Maybe making color variations will make it look better, but then maybe you'll hit the tile limit and it'll look worse

I have already hit the limit. This need EXACTLY 256 color.
 So I wont be able to make those variations. BTW: Have you read my PM?

I don't know, why this tileset is not here anymore, but I will just repost it. (I think it was in the old resource forum)
It is some mixture of the grass from the original grassland tileset and some stone ground I made myself. There are also some tiles from the NSMB Beta in it. I would say, draw the decoration yourself, because the decoration inside this tileset looks aweful to me.   Download: StoneGrass.nmt The colors aren't the best either, because it is all inside one palette. (Haven't got the original image anymore)
