Is this a bug?
I can't make texture transparent for the spike ball needle.
I wanted to make it look like a cannon ball, like in super mario 64.
Do these sort of textures of 3D models in the enemy folder support transparency? or is it a bug in the editor?
Is it also a bug that you can't edit it at all with the build in editor?

3D textures have several possible formats.
All of them support having fully opaque or transparent pixels.

Only some of them support partial transparency: the A3I5 and A5I3 formats. And nearly no files in NSMB use these formats. Only the ones that do use semitransparency have these formats.

Are you trying to get semitransparency or transparency?

transparency

not for the whole model, but for the whole sub-texture

I'm not sure I explained that well, but do you understand?

Yeah, you want to make the spikes in the spiked ball model be completely transparent so they are invisible, right?

So yeah, that should be possible. If it isn't working, then it is a bug.

Renaming the thread to better describe the bug.
