I've just download the DeSmuME with the Wi-Fi capablities from the Tools and Utilities and I'm having trouble getting it to last for then a few seconds (that's what she said!) and wondering if this has problems?

Well I know that wi fi in Desmume its kinda tricky to get it working. I have never tried myself, but does the game/ emulator gives any errors regarding you cant access wifi?

well no just with new super mario bros. it connects for 2 sec then disconnects saying that [name here] left

Are you trying to play wi fi with NSMB? NSMB doesnt have wifi, and dunno if you can play multiplayer with a PC and a DS.
