This screen. It's bugging me, because don't know what files they make. I've searched a lot, but no answers. Help me?

I don't know where it is, but I wouldn't edit it If I were you. As has been said before, removing this is removing the acknowledgement that Nintendo made the original game. You didn't create the entire game, so Nintendo deserves the credit.

An entry from my NSMB Hacking Diary (Google Docs) I made with  Freeze:

23.01.2012

The offset 0x2099 in the OV 1 can change the text on the bottom Screen, while the Nintendo Logo appears. But I could not figure out the format. I always end up with a freezing game or some different random crap. But it is possible to edit it.

EDIT: I know its possible to edit the NINTENDO red thingie, too. But I didn't write down what Offset it is

well why would you want to edit it?
It wont be good taking out the copyright info

Also, considering no one has successfully edited them, it would be hard to do so, so dunno.

I know...

But when you start up New Super Mario Bros. 2, instead of this Boot Screen, it tells you that it's writing on the SD Card. And I'm keeping Nintendo's copyright on the Title Screen.

I got ninja'd for the first time! TWICE NOW.

Well considering NSMB2 does that, IMO its pointless if you are playing on an emulator. Also you cant add the tune that plays when it does, so I say its not that necessary to edit it considering its hard to do so

But I've remembered New Super Mario Bros Deluxe, or your hack (maybe some old betas), has an edited boot screen. <_<

The answer to the OP's question is simple.

You don't.

Making this possible will open the door to more "TEH GAME IZ MINE!!!!!!!!!!111111" copyright removing and other disrespectful things.

I'm not saying I want everyone to believe I made the entire ROM. I'm not going to remove the Copyright on the Title Screen though.

Then editing it would be okay I guess.

The text must be stored as a series of tile indices, pretty much like text in SM64DS. If you can find the graphics file used as an alphabet, you have the key to editing that text.

As for editing the upper screen logo... you'd better not touch it.

Yep, the good way is to let it unchanged because Nintendo deserves it and their logos/copyrights shouldn't be deleted.

PS: Excuse me, I remembered ASMB doesn't have this boot screen, why that it's happening?

Dirbaio has some code in his ASM hacking template that removes the boot screen. That's probably what was used.

There is no image file for this at all, but you are able to see the tiles when editing the text
