NSMBe is crashing a lot, since the new version with backing up.
It never has previously crashed so often, (the type of crash is "do you want to send an error report to microsoft" maybe it is to do with the fact that I have backups disabled?

Could you be more specific as to when it is crashing? If it's on startup, it's possible that something is wrong with the backup feature.

It crashes just from running it for a long time.

I am experiencing this kind of problem too, but I didnt mentioned because I am using v344.
The editor crashes for me randomly, after using it for a long time. It crashes when I am copying a sprite with the ctrl key. Its like th editor gets slower after using it for a long time, but it may be my computer.

It does not for me. My NSMBe runs now for about 30 or more hours and I used it for about 3 hours.
It hasn't crashed one time. Probably its just your Computer that does not like the new rev?

It could be related to that memory leak that happens in Mono. But for now, that thing only seems to happen in Mono. And it's strange that it happens now and not before.

To everyone who gets the problem: could you keep an eye on the editor using Task Manager (RAM and CPU usage) and check if there's something strange?

I have exactly the same problem as griddattack and I am not using mono.
I will open task manager when using nsmbe from now on and report here.

I was monitoring NSMBE. When I first open a ROM with it, it uses 23 MB of my ram. I continued using the editor, to just open the original levels to see how some sprites are done, and by the time I was finished (dunno how much time passed), I opened task manager and it was using 94MB of ram, with only 1 area window opened. I closed the editor anyway since I stopped using it.

In the previous time it has crashed, the report of why it crashed mentioned winforms...dunno if it has something to do with it.

i think how longer you have opened nsmbeditor, how more mb it needs because the newly placed tiles.

No I don't think they would use so much memory.

Do you know anything about programming? Nope. Then stop making useless posts about your silly theories.

But not enough to understand complicated program's memory usage apperently.
