Hello all! As you can see, I am newbie here (not sure if this is the right forum). I am Brazilian, so forgive if my Portuguese is bad = P
Well, I'm currently working on 2 projects. A hack of SMW and a NSMB DS. On the latter I have doubts. I know well use the editor NSMB DS but still have some questions that are bugging me patience = P
The First doubt is related the views. I just have not quite understood how to configure the camera to work right. Sometimes she is normal and sometimes in some parts of the level I'm jumping and it blocks the rest of the level or sometimes I'm on top and he goes down from nothing. Does someone can help me? If you have a tutorial related to this here forum sorry for not seeing, because as I said I am newbie here.
My other question is whether you can put background in those empty spaces that appear in rom. For when I click import simply nothing happens.
Another thing I want to know is if I have to take advantage of unused tilesets bonus so that it is not all the same. For if a change, everyone else already exchanged automatically.

To make the camera scroll up:
Select the view, and on the left panel, set "camera stick to bottom length" to 255.
Also the camera doesn't go up if there are empty 16x16 blocks (the grid the editor shows) so put something in it.

The empty background slots can't be used. They point to no files.
Same for the tilesets. These all point to the same files, so if you edit one, all of them change.

(It's possible to change that by hex editing some tables in Overlay 0, but it's not easy)

For the view, you sound that you have problems regarding empty 16x16 blocks.
Try to use object 2 from tileset 0 on empty spaces. It allows the camera to pan in an empty 16x16 block. Also do what  Dirbaio told you so the camera will be free scrolling.

Thank you! I'll use the object 2 to see if it helps. It really should be the same problem with voids. About backgrounds and tilesets, I'll do a trick I have in mind = P
Just one question: the block? Red is not showing up when it has a stage. I looked in the editor and he is placed just right with the entries and such. Is it something I'm doing wrong?

Mostly all Unused Objects can't be edited because either they're hard-coded or they're just blank.
