Is there is a way you can edit norton preferences or settings to make the editor into a trusted source/program?
Actually the best of all would be to get another antivirus. IMO, norton sucks.

Exactly my point. Norton is so annoying and it interferes with everything, also is so poorly designed you can't tell what part of the system it is affecting, like its bugging you right now with the editor.

As I said earlier, does norton gives an option to whitelist the editor/program? Or to prevent the "performing suspicious actions" from asking you everytime? Might be somewhere in the settings. (never used norton that fully. I always uninstall the thing )

O.o then I have no idea what's wrong with your AV.
Tell it to add an exception for NSMBe or something

NSMBE is completely virus free, you can tell because there are a bunch of people hacking with the tool.

Get rid of Norton, it is like a virus , it blocks everything that seems suspicous and needs to update like 3 times a day. I use AVG.

Exaclty what ive been trying to tell him.
I swear, the last time I used norton, it said I was virus free, but my computer wa slow as hell. Uninstalled norton and it made it faster, but not as it was. Used a virus scan of another antivirus and the computed had 3 viruses.

Problem solved.
This antivirus is much better than Norton. And you have Windows, so this is the best you can get.

Listen to fr33ze. I personally never used MSE, but I heard positive things for it. Norton just plain sucks.

Yes, norton suck.
If you ask me what it is, I'll say anti antivirus.
It uses too much RAM and it's too nervous, almost every freeware will be blocked
