From what I've heard from Lunarius, the NSMB Demo? is in the Nintnedo DS Download Station package.
You'll need two DSes, one that has the station (Runs an R4 with the demo station for example), and one that downloads. You run one of the volumes, then the other DS downloads the DS download station stuff, and there will be a list of demos to download and try out. Then you select one to download and play. Check out the video's description to download the DS download station files. |

Ok, I changed my post.
We still have to dig around in the volumes to be sure though. |

The volume ROMs contain several NDS ROMs.
* .srl files are plain NDS ROMs. However they are mostly just download clients or otherwise uninteresting. * 'stats' folders contain files which appear to be compressed NDS ROMs. I'm looking into the compression of those ROMs. The first 4 bytes suggest it's LZO, but I couldn't find an implementation that matches the data we have, so I'm taking guesses based on existing implementations and the data. The files start with a 16-byte header: 00: (4b) magic (LZOn) 04: (4b) more magic? always 00 2F F1 71 08: (4b, big-endian) probably decompressed size 0C: (4b, big-endian) compressed size (without including the header) The first byte of data is 17 plus the number of starting plain bytes. After that, comes compressed data, and I haven't figured out how that works yet. _________________________ Kuribo64 - zrghij |

That compression makes no sense. Even having the plain version of one of the compressed ROMs doesn't help much. Any help on figuring it out is welcome.
Edit- I tested all of the 11 volumes on my DS, using my 3DS as a DLP client. None of them appear to contain the E3 NSMB. _________________________ Kuribo64 - zrghij |

Volume 16 has a nsmb demo in it:
http://www.ds-scene.net/?s=viewtopic&nid=10990 (view NFO) It is probably the final version demo that has a time limit. |
