Hello people !
I started a new NSMB DS Hack recently, which focuses a lot on level design and stuff Right now I'm editing 1-A, an underwater level that will feature those one-way gates. And I have a small issue I can't fix myself Here's an image of the room where the problem is featured : https://imgur.com/a/OQe7KhC I want the camera to stop scrolling when Mario is in the room between the 2 gates. Right now, it's fine, except when Mario is positioned in the red zones. If I enable Sprite 276 to work when Mario is in those zones, he will just be stuck here and cannot get past the gate/red blocks (I know red blocks are solid, a switch is supposed to destroy them). If I make it so Sprite 276's tile height up prevents this, then the camera will scroll even if Mario's far from the gates/red blocks, however the transition isn't smooth and it ends up being kinda ugly My question is : Can we make it so the camera starts scrolling only when Mario enters the right gate/gets to the red blocks ? If someone is able to help me, that would be greatly appreciated 🙂 |
