This is the thread of Swap Super Mario Bros.








So, what's inside this game? And why is it called SWAP Super Mario Bros. ?

Well, in the original NSMB it was basically a straight line for the game, level to level to level. However this game changes that! For example, you will be going back to certain parts of the world (in different levels) that are somewhat altered every time! There could be a different direction, a hidden section you have to go to in order to complete the level, things like that!

-Now what's inside the game?

-Semi Linear Levels

-8 Worlds

New characters! (Can't say for sure, ASM is gonna take me some work)

-Harder levels! Some moves like the wall jump and triple jump actually get required at times! but it never gets too difficult.

-now, here's the progress!

We're halfway through world 1! which somewhat isn't as open as I expected, but I kind of want to ease the player into that. Y'know?

I did part of 6-1 and came up with the "world connecting" idea.

Levels Done:

1-1

1-2

1-3

1-T

1-4

1-A

1-Cannon

6-1

1-Cannon also was changed to W6 instead of W5.

-Now I'm aware of a few things....

Like the progress bar not working at times..

AND some levels looking similar to others.

BUT I'm really a beginner to using the editor, and I really will change those by the demo release.

I'm still very into this and the demo will be out once world 3 is done!

1-4 is done!!! I also added another continuity thing, now only 1-5 and 1-Castle are needed to complete!!!!

if the progress bar doesnt work you might not've added a progress path to the level

I also think the same, you should customize your mosaics for more attractiveness
