What I have more trouble understanding is why the hell do some people run to me about RHCafe being down. I don't own that board. Seriously, those people need to stop assuming I own the internet or am the magical absolute knowledge base.

i made a bad first impression of the site's stability. whoops.
the first maintenance was for the forum organization and so I don't cause any ruckus with my data the second was because I updated the ubuntu server to latest so that broke mysql so I switched crap over and fixed many issues. boom. Shouldn't be any more downtime, though. |

Yeah, as StapleButter says, no need to worry guys.
I'm still here. And I do care about this place. The reason I haven't been active lately, for those that don't know, is that I've started a startup, called Verse, and it's taking way too much time of my life. Let me assure you I still care about this place, and I won't let it go down. Firstly, I definitely have enough money to pay the $20/month for digitalocean plus the $10/year for the domain. (And I also use this server for other things). Second, when I started this, I promised myself that I'd keep this up for as long as needed, and it's still here alive and well  I really think that moving is not the best way forward. It will fragment the community, as we've seen in the past for some other ROM hacking communities. In contrast, NSMBHD has been *The* place to talk NSMB hacking since we split from Jul back in 2011, 5 years ago. I promise I'll be more active and I'll try to take more care of the board on the technical side too, for example the uploader stuff, and some other small issues. I will post a more formal announcement soon of the things to come So, long live NSMBHD!

Neither that is true. I do Mario Kart DS and Mario Kart 7 Hacking from time to time, and I'm currently trying to make new Tools for these 2 communities, since Gericom doesn't give a shit anymore. _________________________ |

Oh, ok. That's cool. New MKDS tools could potentially mean new NSMB tools anyway- just look at MKDSCM and the OBJ importer/exporter!

I wasn't around back when he was active, so it's been pretty "alive and fun" the whole time for me, apart from short periods with little activity.
