I've been trying to edit the world icon graphics for me upcoming hack. I have followed all the correct procedures (view 16-color, compress, etc), exported all bitmaps with all palettes, then after editing the graphics, I re-imported the file, but it refused to accept it (saying it was the wrong size) despite the fact that I did not change the size whatsoever!

I seriously have no clue what's causing this.

The world map files won't import all bitmaps, because every bitmap has a different image size.
You will have to import and export each bitmap with the selected pallete individually, then it will work.

That would take days though! There's like 200 different graphics I would have to save and sort! Is there really not an easier way?

Then after editing the graphics, I re-imported the file

Import all bitmaps with all palettes, of course.

I will test it on a clean rom to see if I get the same problem.

Could you pass me the edited graphics?

Here's a link to the graphics:
(Link deleted because of issues)

I had to post a link instead of embedding because the forum's formatting messes the transparency.

Edit: since I realized I had some alignment issues, I deleted the link.

Don't forget to NOT do "Save All" and instead save what you edited individually. Click that "Save" button.

...Like really, I don't think you can just edit them all at a time.

Well after lots of palette extraction and all sorts, I think I've found a fix. Thanks for trying to help anyway though. Seems this one's just a very rare problem.

Edit: So, I've managed to import the graphics, but I cannot save them. I realized this was because some of the images were slightly misaligned, so I re-aligned them. Despite this, it still will not save the bitmap! I need help!

I'll go post a more in-depth thread on the graphics forum (which is really where I should have put this in the first place)...

You know, reading things is useful. Really. Unless even that isn't working?

Then if it's the case, I have no idea...
