Load the ISO's from USB isntead. Burned DVD's are really unreliable with the Wii.

If you had a computer like a Lenovo W520, then I would say: Go emulation with Dolphin!
I played SMG2, it's awesome. But it only runs @ 50 fps max, as people stated on the Dolphin emulation wiki. Also, the game crashes after a boss, at least at the time because they're wasn't a Dolphin 3.0 at the time. Dunno if it will crash now. USB sticks should work... dunno why it's not working for you. What instructions did you use? Too lazy to embed the link here, but the beta courses of Mario Kart Kiosk Demo. They were an interesting find. BTW: I couldn't find a working AR code to get access to the beta course (I only found one non-working code).
